My Valentine
In the spring of 1976, on a clear cool night, after many disappointments in relationships, I met the man I would marry and spend my life with. At 27 years of age, I thought I was destined to be an old maid and I think my dad thought he was never going to see the day, but seven years later, we were married in the house we still live in today. His family became my family and my family became his. We have shared many blessings and some heartaches along the way, but we have been blessed with God's presence in our home and lives. We have a wonderful son and daughter-in-law, and a sweet grand-daughter. The love I have had for him over the years has grown and changed in many ways. When I met him, I was instantly attracted to him, tall, dark, and handsome with a deep and most tender personality. Those things are still part of the attraction, but now there are so many facets to our compatability, it would be impossible to explain them all. He is absolutely my only valentine, now and forever.

I just learned something, I didn't know that you had always lived there and I didn't know you were married there. Although I do remember coming to visit when I was a little girl, you let us drink from bottles and always made cookies! And you still do that and then some. ;-)
I'm glad we're family and I enjoyed reading about your Valentine. Tell Uncle Clarence to put his lips a little closer to the phone. Ha-ha
Where oh where is the author of this blog?!?!?
